I joined a few days ago and would like to say hello. I am a single mother of a 7 year old daughter and live in Melbourne.
I enjoy writing and reading. I am doing a part-time course in Editing and Proofreading, and busy writing a novel. I have been a bit slack but hopefully I'll get into the swing of things again.
I work part-time and spend as much time with my daughter. I hope all of you are well and hope to be friends.
Hope you are all well and hope to talk later :-) |

Christmas wasnt quite what I had planned. It was meant to be a special one this year, it was the last one both our daughters will be at home with us. Christmas eve my husband and I sat watching the carols by candlelight, then it was time to spread the pressys under the tree and get to bed for an early start in the morning. I went to get out of my recliner and I couldnt walk. I was numb in both legs and both my hands were completely numb. My husband helped me to the bedroom. When I woke in the morning I could move both legs and made my way out to the family room. We opened our presents one by one as we do. The girls asked if I was okay as they were a little worried that I wouldnt be able to make the christmas pudding. Thinking I was alright I said I would still do them. As I tried to get up again there was no feeling. I was taken back to my bed and that was where I would be staying. I started to feel like I was going to be sick. My husband was by my side the whole time, giving me antibiotics, a bucket, pain killers. He was very worried about me, I was shaking with a fever. We both new that one of my injection sites that I take for my MS was infected. I was bed ridden for 2 days. I know this will happen again, I dont like it, it does scare me.
My future son inlaw came over to visit our daughter and ended up staying for 4 days, he was wonderful. He cooked all the meals for the family. It is nice to have a chef in the family. To my family I am so sorry I spoilt christmas for you. |

Hubby is at home too, looks after me I am a recovering cancer patient. I will be half a century old next month - won't contemplate that too deeply, ha ha! |

Hi folks, hope everyone has a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year.
I am awaiting the birth of our first grandchild at the end of June next year so I thought I would join up and see how much things may have changed in the baby world, since I had my last baby back in 1990 . I'd really like to make some great friends while I'm at it, so if you would like a 43 year old Nanna-to-be as a friend, just holler lol.
Best Wishes to All,
